What Is Breakdance:
Breakdance or breaking is a street-based dance that incorporates intricate body movements, coordination, style, and aesthetics. The people who perform this style of dance are known as b-boys or b-girls.

The Origin of Breakdance:
Breakdance, the oldest known hip-hop style of dance, is believed to have originated in the Bronx, New York in the 1970’s. Sonic inspirations date back to the energetic performances of funk maestro, James Brown. In the early days of djing, emceeing, and b-boying, a break – instrumental part of a song that is looped repeatedly by the DJ – were incorporated into songs to allow a showcase of improvised breakdance steps.

Elements of Breakdancing:
Music is an essential in breaking, but hip-hop is not the only option. 70’s soul, funk, and even jazz tunes all work as well. Style, fashion, spontaneity, concept and technique are also vital aspects of breakdancing.

TIPS FOR VOCAL BY SHAH

  1. – physical excersice, get better physical shape.
  2. – no cafeine, no dairy products, no salty diet.
  3. – no smoking.
  4. – carry a water bottle around, drink lots of water.
  5. – no sing if fever.
  6. – get more vitamins & supplements.
  7. – dont talk to much, save voice.
  8. – get enough sleep.
  9. – dont shout and scream.
  10. – dont speak all day before gigs.
  11. – warm up voice before rehearsal & show.
  12. – sing all the time, in car, shower, etc.
  13. – build stamina in rehearsal, excersice + sing other song, increase slowly.
  14. – practise should be by yourself.
  15. – isolate to work on a difficult part, dont sing whole song over and over.
  16. – start with the most difficult song first.
  17. – rest if voice is tired.

“Nggak. Itu salah satu bentuk frustrasi gue aja (Tertawa). Kalau bisa upahnya diambil di sini ya, di ambil di sini lah (Tertawa). Itu juga kalau memang surga itu ada (Tertawa),” kali ini candaannya mulai menyerempet bahaya.
”Kalau albumnya hanya laku segitu gue terima. Manggung di depan puluhan ribu orang yang nonton gratisan pun gue hanya tersenyum. Gue memposisikan diri di atas panggung benar-benar sebagai menghibur orang susah. Bayangkan malam tahun baru kemarin di Monas gue manggung bareng Ungu dan Utopia di depan 3 juta orang! Orang susah semua dan mungkin tidak punya CD gue tapi hafal semua lagu-lagunya (Tertawa),” ujarnya pasrah.
