Bunkface is a four-piece Malaysian rock band from Klang, Selangor, formed in 2005. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Sam, bass guitarist and backup vocalist Youk, lead guitarist Paan, and drummer Ejam Coda. Popular songs by Bunkface include Bunk Anthem, Situasi, Silly Lily, High School Rocker, Tired Misson, Revolusi, Fine, Land Of Hope, Last Minute, Hyper Killer, Our Way, Prom Queen, Through My Window and most recently, Ekstravaganza.
History The band started off as a group of four secondary school friends from SMK Sri Andalas having casual jam sessions at Klang, Selangor,. The name “Bunkface” had originated from an idea by a former drummer, Biak, who borrowed the word from one of Sum 41’s songs “Crazy Amanda Bunkface”. They cited Sum 41, Green Day, Blink 182 as their main influences.
In March 2006, Bunkface won the first place for the Battle of the Bands competition organized by the Rhythm Of The Third World (ROTTW), a Malaysian music magazine. Bunkface got their first magazine feature through this, and later on was approached by Demoplanet.tv, a Malaysian online music community, who offered them to sponsor a video clip for them. It was only in late 2006 when they participated in the hit TV show Blastoff that they finally caught the attention of the public.
In December 2007, Bunkface released their first EP titled “Lesson of the Season”, featuring 6 English tracks, mixing a pop-punk/alternative rock sound. The hit song “Silly Lily” was number 1 on Hitz.fm’s Malaysian Top Ten for 8 weeks and number 1 on Fly.fm’s Campur Chart for 10 weeks. Bunkface’s first Malay single Situasi stormed to number 1 on XFresh FM and steadily stayed at number 3 on Era FM for 3 weeks.

Latar Belakang
Kumpulan 6ixth Sense terdiri daripada lima orang anak muda iaitu Mohd Faiz Azizi (Gjie) selaku pemain gitar utama, Safuan Hasnan (Wan) selaku pemain drum, Muhd Azmi (Air Bone) selaku pemain gitar kedua (yang kemudiannya digantikan dengan Athan), Mohd Fairuz (Ayoy) selaku pemain bass dan Adi Priyo Sambodo (Adi) selaku vokalis. 6ixth Sense merupakan kumpulan muzik pertama dengan gabungan pemuzik Malaysia dan Indonesia.
Kumpulan ini menamakan diri mereka “Sixth Sense” kerana berkebolehan menggunakan panca deria untuk menjiwai serta mencipta muzik. 6ixth Sense yakin dapat bersaing dengan mana-mana kumpulan muzik ketika ini. Melihat pada pencapaian mereka, jelas terbukti mereka boleh memberikan impak kepada perkembangan muzik tanahair.
Mereka memulakan kerjaya seni sebagai sebuah kugiran yang bermain di majlis perkahwinan. Setelah mendapat tempat di hati peminat, 6ixth Sense telah dilamar menjadi artis rakaman pada tahun 2005 walaupun industri muzik tempatan ketika itu diuliti dengan pelbagai masalah seperti cetak rompak dan kemasukkan artis-artis luar negara yang banyak.
Di awal penubuhan, salah seorang pemuzik dari Indonesia telah mencadangkan nama pemuda Indonesia, Adi Priyo Sambodo yang kepada pengurus 6ixth Sense, Mujahid Abdul Wahab. Setelah berjaya menunjukkan kebolehan vokalnya, Adi diterbangkan dari Indonesia ke Malaysia untuk memulakan kerjayanya sebagai penyanyi utama 6ixth Sense.
Lebih 5,000 buah album telah terjual setelah album ini dilancarkan pada 2 Jun 2006. Kumpulan yang mempertaruhkan lagu yang pernah dipopularkan oleh J. Mizan pada era 70an, ‘Hari Ini Dan Semalam’ sebagai single pertama mendapat sambutan yang menggalakkan daripada stesen-stesen radio tempatan. Malah, lagu tersebut pernah mendapat tempat kedua di Carta Era selama beberapa minggu. Terdapat 11 buah lagu di dalam album ini seperti termasuk ‘Maafkanku’, ‘Berjanjilah’, ‘Seandainya’, ‘Mama Papa’, ‘Pesona’ dan ‘Pawana’.
Syarikat rakaman mereka, Universal Music percaya bahawa kumpulan tersebut dapat diterima oleh peminat muzik Indonesia berdasarkan adanya Adi sebagai vokalis utama serta konsep kumpulan tersebut iaitu progresif pop-rock.

Adi Priyo Sambodo merupakan penyanyi utama 6ixth Sense. Beliau berasal dari Jember, Indonesia. Beliau lahir pada 1 Oktober 1983. Antara lagu ciptaanya adalah seperti Khatinmah Cinta dan Hikayat Cinta.

Shahrul Effendy merupakan ahli terbaru 6ixth Sense yang menggantikan Airbone di posisi gitar kedua. Beliau menggantikan Airbone sejak Airbone menyatakan hasratnya untuk menarik diri selepas penghasilan album kedua mereka. Dikhabarkan Atan akan bersama 6ixth Sense untuk album ketiga dan seterusnya nanti. Atan yang sebelum ini memang telah lama mengenali anggota 6ixth Sense dan sentiasa mengikuti persembahan kumpulan itu mengakui tidak mempunyai masalah untuk menyerasikan diri dalam kumpulan tersebut malah mereka telah berkawan rapat.
Mohd Safwan Hasnan merupakan pemain dram 6ixth Sense. Beliau berasal dari Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Beliau lahir pada 25 April 1987. Antara lagu yang diciptanya adalah Tak Bisa Memilihmu dan Tanpa
Mohd Fairos Ramli merupakan pemain bass 6ixth Sense. Beliau berasal dari Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Beliau lahir pada 31 Julai 1985.

Mohd Azmi Yahaya merupakan bekas pemain gitar 6ixth Sense. Beliau berasal Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Beliau lahir pada 15 Disember 1985. Beliau telah menyatakan hasrat untuk menarik diri sebaik mendirikan rumah tangga pada tahun 2007. Tempat yang dikosongkan oleh Airbone kini diganti oleh ahli baru iaitu Shahrul Effendy atau lebih mesra dikenali sebagai Atan.

Album ini mempertaruhkan 2 single. Single pertama mereka iaitu Tak Bisa Memilihmu mendapat sambutan hangat sama seperti lagu Hari Ini Dan Semalam. Tak Bisa Memilihmu juga dijadikan novel berdasarkan lagu tersebut. Single kedua untuk album ini iaitu Tanpa turut mendapat sambutan yang hebat sehingga berjaya mendapat anugerah ‘Lagu Paling Popular Hits 1 (2008)’. Lagu Tanpa juga berjaya tercalon ke dalam muzik-muzik separuh akhir namun tidak berjaya dicalonkan di peringkat akhir. Kedua-dua single di dalam album ini juga mendapat sambutan yang luar biasa melalui muat turun digital. Antara lain-lain lagu yang terdapat dalam album ini adalah Kelam, Cinta Sejati, Hikayat Cinta II, Rayuan Gombal, Long Distance.
Cinta Yang Sempurna merupakan single khas 6ixth Sense bersempena dengan bulan Ramadhan. Melalui single ini, 6ixth Sense bekolaborasi dengan Noe dari kumpulan Letto. Lagu berkonsepkan ketuhanan ini dicipta sepenuhnya oleh Noe dan susunan muzik oleh 6ixth Sense. Noe juga berduet dengan Adi di dalam Single ini. Cinta Yang Sempurna mendapat sambutan yang hangat dan sering diputar di corong-corong radio di Malaysia. Cinta Yang Sempurna juga sering mendapat tempat teratas di dalam beberapa carta di beberapa stesen radio Malaysia.
The Legend merupakan album 6ixth Sense yang dijadual untuk diedarkan pada tahun 2009. Namun album ini tidak dikeluarkan atas sebab-sebab yang tidak dikenal pasti. Album ini menampilkan rakaman semula lagu-lagu melayu era 80an-90an serta beberapa lagu baru.
Album ketiga dari 6ixth Sense ini telah dikeluarkan pada bulan Mei 2010. Album ini mengandungi 2 single hits terdahulu iaitu Cinta Yang Sempurna dan Khatinmah Cinta. Album ini turut mengandungi 7 lagu baru. Album ini melihatkan evolusi dari segi susunan muzik yang belum pernah ditampilkan 6ixth Sense pada album sebelumnya. Single pertama dari album ini adalah Yang Sempurnakanku yang dikeluarkan sebulan sebelum keluarnya album ini.

Aerial Crew has appeared in nationally televised commercials for Seti sim cards and Flexi sim cards. They have also appeared on the International Network Fashion TV during there coverage of Bali Fashion Week 2008.
Aerial Crew have been resident dancers at nightclubs Mbargo, Kama Sutra Bali and Kama Sutra Jakarta and Fuel (now Hookt).
Currently, Aerial Crew are resident dancers at Kuta’s newest hotspot, Ocean Beach Club, where they have begun working with American choreographer BlackGold from San Francisco, California. Together they are expanding the boundaries of what breakdancing is by creating conceptual dance pieces that mix the various styles of Hiphop dance along with theatrical elements and a diverse selection of great music.

Joanne de Rozario is a TV Presenter & Producer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is a self-confessed “news junkie” and an avid F1 fan.
